AKI ITODirector of International Operations
Aki Ito has been involved in the localization industry since 1996 in many different aspects of localization activities such as sales management, operations management, project management, Japanese language management and consulting, and translation memory tool management at different companies, including Prisma International, Lionbridge Technologies, and DDS Global Media.
Prior to the localization industry, he was an account executive at Dell Computer in the U.S. and Japan, selling personal computers and networking solutions to multinational companies for their worldwide implementations.
Aki has an MBA in International Marketing and a BA in International Relations.

MICHAEL STEPHENSONSenior Business Development Manager, Europe
Michael has over 20 years of international sales and marketing in Europe, the Middle East and the United States. His post-military career has taken him to Asahi Pentax, Maxwell Communications Corporation, Inso Corporation and Lernout & Hauspie, enabling him to bring a wealth of high-value sales experience in software, machine translation and speech technologies to TOIN.
While in the computer games industry, Michael was responsible for the European sales launch of 'Tetris' and the Austrian, German and Swiss release of the 'Lemmings' series.
Michael studied sales and marketing at the Institute of Sales & Marketing Management and professional photography at the New York Institute of Photography.
He speaks English and German.

KEN SAKAISenior Business Development Manager, North America
Ken Sakai started Pacific Dreams, Inc. in 1992 in Oregon and joined TOIN USA on November 2008.
Prior to establishing Pacific Dreams, Ken worked for over 8 years for SUMCO USA Corporation.
His expertise includes networking with Japanese and US companies and joint-venture partnerships.
He is a well-known veteran of the semiconductor industry, and his technical translation and interpreting skills assist semiconductor companies and a variety of high-tech manufacturing industries in the USA and Japan.
He was born and raised in Tokyo and holds a B.S. in Agriculture from Shinshu University in Nagano, Japan.

TOM ROLANDBusiness Development Manager, North America
Trained as a Chinese-to-English translator, Tom has been in the localization industry for 15 years. He has deep experience in production management, process optimization and offshoring/outsourcing, having worked for industry leaders in the USA, China and Taiwan.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Asian Studies from Pomona College in California, USA.

MARK STEPHENSONBusiness Development Manager, Europe
Mark was educated in England and Germany before graduating from the University of Surrey with a BSc in Mathematics in June 2009. His native language is English, and he is fluent in German.
He joined TOIN through an internship before being accepted as a business development manager in Europe. He currently looks after clients in Germany.
In his spare time Mark is a keen martial artist, studying and teaching Brazilian jiu-jitsu in London and south east England.
